Bios

Cornelia Snider Yarrington, PhD, is retired from the University of Colorado, where she taught writing in the Environmental Studies Department.  In her twenties she studied in Germany and France and lived for two years on the Island of Mindanao in the Philippines.

Tony Leuzzi is a teacher and writer in Rochester, NY. His poems and prose have been printed or are forthcoming in a wide range of academic and small-press journals, including Third Wednesday, California Quarterly, Origami Condom, The Louisiana Review, Harvard Educational Review, and others. His first book, Tongue-Tied and Singing, was published by Foothills in 2004.

Gregory Dowling grew up in Bristol, UK, and studied at Oxford University. Since 1979 he has lived in Italy; he is a professor of American literature at the University of Venice. Apart from his academic interests he has published four thrillers, set in England and Italy, and he has written and regularly updates the sightseeing pages for the Time Out Guide to Venice. His most recent publication is a guidebook to Byron's Venice.

Deborah Warren’s poetry collections are: The Size of Happiness (2003, Waywiser Press, London), runner-up for the 2000 T. S. Eliot Prize;  Zero Meridian, which received the 2003 New Criterion Poetry Prize (2004, Ivan R. Dee);  and Dream With Flowers and Bowl of Fruit, which received the Richard Wilbur Award, forthcoming in December of 2008 (University of Evansville). Her poems have appeared in The Hudson Review, The New Yorker, The Paris Review and The Yale Review.

David Catron's essays and poetry have appeared in a variety of literary publications, including Parnassus: Poetry in Review, Oxford Magazine, and The Formalist.

Jennifer Juneau’s work has been published in American Poetry Journal, Cimarron Review, Cincinnati Review, Passages North, Seattle Review and elsewhere and has been featured on Verse Daily as poem of the day. Her collection of poems, More Than Moon, was a National Poetry Series finalist. She lives and writes in Zurich, Switzerland.

A. E. Stallings studied Classics in Athens, Georgia and now lives in Athens, Greece. She has published two collection of poetry, Archaic Smile and Hapax (Hapax received the 2008 Poets' Prize). Her new verse translation of Lucretius, The Nature of Things, is out from Penguin Classics. More information can be found at her website.

April Lindner's poetry collection, Skin, received the 2002 Walt McDonald First Book Prize from Texas Tech University Press. Her poems have appeared in many journals, including The Hudson Review, The Paris Review, Crazyhorse, Prairie Schooner, and The Formalist, as well as in numerous anthologies and textbooks. With R. S. Gwynn, she co-edited Contemporary American Poetry, an anthology in Longman's Penguin Academics series.
