Bios

Tim Frank is a writer specializing in the comic and the surreal. He has been published in magazines such as Bourbon Penn, Bartleby Snopes, and BlazeVox. He is currently working on a collection of short stories and a semi-autobiographical novel.

Catherine Chandler was born in New York City and lived in Poughkeepsie, NY, and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, before moving to Canada. She lectured in Spanish at McGill University’s Department of Translation Studies, and also served as the university’s International Affairs Officer for Latin America. She is the author of Lines of Flight (Able Muse Press), shortlisted for the Poets’ Prize, Glad and Sorry Seasons (Biblioasis), and The Frangible Hour (The University of Evansville Press), recipient of the Richard Wilbur Award, and three chapbooks.

Gail White’s latest poetry collection is Asperity Steet (Able Muse Press, 2015). She has published three previous books of poetry: The Price of Everything, Easy Marks and The Accidental Cynic. She is a contributing editor of Light, a two-time winner of the Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award, and appears in the Nasty Women (Picador, 2017) poetry anthology. She lives in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana with her husband and assorted cats.

Stephen Kampa is the author of three volumes of poetry: Cracks in the Invisibile, Bachelor Pad, and the forthcoming Articulate as Rain, which will be published by Waywiser Press in spring of 2018. His session work can be heard most recently on Victor Wainwright’s Boom Town (Blind Pig Records). He teaches at Flagler College in Saint Augustine, FL.

Timothy Murphy’s latest collections are Mortal Stakes/Faint Thunder, and Hunter’s Log (Dakota Institute Press, 2011); and Devotions and Hunter’s Log, Volumes II and III, (North Dakota State University Press, 2017).

Sam Aaron Morgan has been published in the Louisville Review, the Writer’s Chronicle, and the Encyclopedia of American Indian History. He received a literature degree from Duke and an MFA in fiction from Chatham University. He became a novelist by way of filmmaking and previously interned at DreamWorks and edited videos for the Smithsonian to distribute to Native American tribal governments.

Hailey Leithauser is the author of Swoop (Graywolf 2013). She has recent or forthcoming work in 32 Poems, Agni, the Gettysburg Review, the Hopkins Review, and the Yale Review.

D. R. Goodman’s first collection of poetry, Greed: A Confession, was released by Able Muse Press in 2014. She is a past winner of both the Able Muse Write Prize for poetry (2013) and the Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award (2015). Her work has appeared in such journals as Crazyhorse, Cold Mountain Review, Tampa Review, Whitefish Review, Raintown Review, and many others; and has been selected to appear in Ted Kooser’s American Life in Poetry, and in the anthology, Sonnets: 150 Contemporary Sonnets, William Baer, editor.

Rob Wright is a Philadelphia-based writer. He is currently assistant fiction editor of Able Muse. He was awarded Fellowships in Literature from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in 2005 and 2007, and was twice nominated for the Pushcart Prize. His writing has been published in the magazines Able Muse, Angle, Big City Lit, the Evansville Review, Rattle, String Poet, and the Schuylkill Valley Journal of the Arts. Recently he was awarded the Frost Farm Prize for Metrical Poetry.

Scott Ruescher’s book of poems, Waiting for the Light to Change, published by Prolific Press in May 2017, consists entirely of poems of place. He won the 2016 Write Prize from Able Muse for a poem set in South Boston and Cambridge, the 2015 Rebecca Lard Award from Poetry Quarterly for a poem set at an intersection in Memphis, and, in both 2013 and 2014, the Erika Mumford Prize for poetry about travel and international culture from the New England Poetry Club, for poems set in Spain and Puerto Rico.
