Daniel Bourne’s books include The Household Gods, Where No One Spoke the Language, and the forthcoming Talking Back to the Exterminator, from Regal House Publishing. His poems and translations have appeared in Ploughshares, APR, Field, Boulevard, Guernica, Salmagundi, Yale Review, Pleiades, Shenandoah, Prairie Schooner, Plume, Colorado Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Quarterly West, and elsewhere. He has lived in Poland off and on since 1980, including in 1985–87 on a Fulbright fellowship for the translation of underground Polish poets and in 2018 and 2019 for work on an anthology of poets of the Baltic Coast. A collection of his translations of Bronisław Maj, The Extinction of the Holy City, is forthcoming from Free Verse Editions in 2023.
