Amy Bagan has worked in book and magazine publishing (Godine, Columbia University Press, the Paris Review, SUN Press, Newsweek, Piano & Keyboard) and as a teacher of English Composition at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Her poems have been awarded the Grolier Poetry Prize, the Montalvo Poetry Prize, an Academy of American Poets University Prize, and finalist for the 2016 James Hearst Poetry Prize. Her manuscript, Sand-Blind, was selected as a National Poetry Series finalist. Several of her poems appear in such literary journals as Measure, Denver Quarterly, Northwest Review, Southern Poetry Review, North American Review, Mosaici, Western Humanities Review, Salmagundi, and the Cortland Review. She resides in Venice.
