Some Sphereans may like to check up on Robert Potts' in-depth profile of Thom Gunn in today's Guardian Review. Others might be curious about James Fenton's preferred edition of Shakespeare's sonnets or Jeremy Noel Todd's assessment of Auden's 'The Sea and the Mirror.' All three articles can be found at http://books.guardian.co.uk/review
Trawl down the page for the poetry section.
Margaret.

Margaret,

Thanks. I've just returned from France, where I've been reading 'As I Walked Out One Evening', which is a wonderful collection of Auden's light verse, edited by Edward Mendelson. Oddly enough, Auden is one major poet that I personally had not read widely before, other than his more celebrated pieces.

I actually picked up this book, and quite a few others besides, while browsing through a magnificent bookstore I discovered in Montpellier.

Sláinte
Sebastian
