Default Shout Out

.
I wanted to give a shout out to Alex Pepple and his peeps for their excellent administration of Eratosphere, keeping it largely bug-free and user-friendly. Knock on wood, the site performs beautifully 99.9% of the time. Thanks for devoting the time I know it must take to keep things up and operational.

It’s the giving season. I promise to make good on a promise I made a while back to give what I can in appreciation. Merry everything to you and your team for your good work!

Thanks, Ann. I hope I didn’t come off sounding like I'm the fundraising arm of Eratosphere! In fact, it's always been Erato's lack of pounding the pavement to generate financial support that is part of what makes it so attractive to me. I like it that it remains something of an afterthought, yet still it is worth mentioning from time to time. I just felt the urge to express my gratitude. I’d rather give what I can to an enterprise like this than to the Pope in Rome. They have their own rich benefactors to lean on : )

I wasn’t even looking for a place like this when a Google search for elegiac distichs in English pointed the way twenty months ago. I wasn’t very interested in social networking generally, but was so impressed with the level of conversation that I decided to stick around. I’m so much richer for it that I can’t even say how grateful I am to the creators and sustainers of the Sphere.
