Cathy, my best wishes. I appreciate everything you've done, the time you've taken to do it, and how you've done it. It's not their purpose, but your poems and your book have been a school in themselves. The Nemerov win this year only told us what we already knew, and what that long string of appearances at 14 by 14 showed. You are a poet whose work I will always look for, and want to read.
Best,
Ed
PS -- Jayne: well deserved!

A long list beckons, but first things first:
Cathy, we'll miss you at The Deep End of this lovely pool that is Eratosphere. You've been an inspiration to me and many others.
And now my personal thanks to Alex for having faith in me, and to Stephen, Gregory, Maryann, Cally, Janice (luv ), Dave, Jean, Tom, Ed and Seree.
You're all great people and I'm so happy to know you. Now that I've got a 'job' I'll just have to spend even more time here, won't I? Ain't life a bitch sometimes?

Good stuff, Jayne! I have a bottle of your champagne bubbles on the shelf next to me. I'll blow some for you. Done.
Be well, Catherine.

Thanks, Rory. I collected a few of those little bottles of bubbles from a wedding reception (we all had one but lots of people just left them behind on the table). I have an abiding memory of you opening the 'champagne' and blowing bubbles at Oxford. I'm glad you've got some left - I'm not sure that I have, so I might have to celebrate my Mod-job with some of the real stuff instead! Life's hard, innit?

Thanks for your fine work at TDE, Cathy. May the poems continue to flow!
And that’s excellent news about Jayne, too! Well done all round!

New here, but thank you Catherine, for all your work--and I've enjoyed your poetry!
Jayne, many congrats, and I've certainly been on E. long enough to enjoy your humor and your edge--sometimes wonderfully combined! Bravo. Hope to meet you in the summer, if possible, during my annual UK visit.
Cheers,
Charlotte

Cathy
I'm so sorry to see you go. You have such a gift and such a gentle, but skilled touch, but I fully understand. God Bless and be well.
Jayne Osborn
It's amazing how clearly your witty and generous spirit comes through this little machine whose monitor I'm at this moment staring at. What a delight! Jayne's on board!

Clive, Charlotte and Lance,
Thanks for the kind words, all of you. I'm on the Isle of Man at the moment but will be flying back to Liverpool this afternoon, then driving down the M6 to home. It's great that we can travel with these little machines, Lance, and keep in touch from anywhere in the world. Whatever will they think of next?
