Just a note to say that this weekend L.A.M.P. will be hosting another event in addition to the noon event that we talked about earlier on this thread, this one also hopefully geared time-wise to world-wide participation. It will be a reading of Richard Wilbur's Tartuffe at 9 AM EST Saturday, in which the Zoom participants will be the performers! Anyone who would like to read or just listen is welcome

The Tartuffe text is located here:

I very much enjoyed attending the inaugural transatlantic L.A.M.P. meeting. Many thanks, Mario, for moving the times to make that possible and for being such a welcoming host. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Great meeting you and playing games at which you and Sarh-Jane clobbered the rest of us! I hope to make the Transatlantic LAMP gathering a monthly event and hope to see you there!

Oh drat!!! I missed it, after you so kindly rescheduled it to include your Brit friends. (Too much other stuff going on at the moment )

I'm really sorry, Mario. It was obviously a lot of fun. I'd love to come along next time!!!

Hello!

Thank-you Mario, it was really fun. It's good to play, and you were a brilliant facilitator (letting us win was the icing on the cake). And the improv story at the end was gloriously surreal!

I'll have a look at my book of surrealist games later and see if there are any that might be adapted, either to here or zoom, and throw them out as ideas in case anyone on either platform is interested. Your lying/word-game was very cool though, so I'm not sure they'd work as well as that.

thanks again,

Sarah-Jane

The next gathering is scheduled for the 14th, by which point my copy of the book of Surrealist games will have arrived, in time to figure out how to transform some into online versions! I hope everyone on this thread will be able to make it to that one!

Thank-you Mario,

I hope you enjoy the book (I think it's amazing, full of ideas and games). I'll put the 14th in my diary.

Hi, Sarah-Jane,

I didn't see your registration for the event, so in case there's any trouble with meetup, here's the direct link for Sunday at Noon EST (6 your time?): https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82209819943

We will play adapted games from the Surrealist games book!

Uh, oh.

Mario, you might need to set up a new Zoom link and send it to all the registrants (and Sarah-Jane) privately, if you don't want uninvited guests to come in and trash the place.

Something bad happened when a Zoom link was posted here last month.

Hi Mario,

I notice there are two events on Meetup for the same day and time; one with 3 attendees, one with 6.

Assuming you change the link above, does it matter which I sign up to in terms of getting the Zoom link? I guess I could do both ...

Anyway, hopefully see you tomorrow.

Matt
