It's hard to believe I started this thread over two and a half years ago, and there's so much great stuff here!

This evening I've spent a couple of hours going through it from the beginning, picking links at random that I fancied, and enjoying many of the comments posted.

Here's a song from way back that I remembered my parents playing; it was a 78rpm record on an old gramophone. I still love Last Train to San Fernando and my 4 year-old grandson, who's crazy about trains, loves it too since I introduced him to it.

It's such a catchy tune and I simply never tire of listening to it as it makes me smile!

Jayne

I just came across this old video of Chris Stapleton, before his hair turned all gray. He sings amazing in it, and he co-wrote the song (which is also great, sort of like something Willie Nelson would write).

If you want to hear some amazing singing, with a great instrumental backup, look no further than La Malagueña by Gaby Moreno.

And one more. Billy Strings is very hot lately, and deservedly so. He's mostly associated with bluegrass, but he can do jazz standards pretty well too. Here he is with another fine musician, Marcus King. (Billy's voice is quite good, but it's really his guitar playing that puts him in the big leagues).

Take It With Me — Performed by Solveig Slettahjell
Song by Tom Waits and his wife Kathleen Brennan

Why does it feel like I’ve posted this before? Is it my mantra pushing through again? (But I don’t have a mantra!) I have karma wherever I go. The final sung syllable “go” is as beautiful a sound as I can ever remember hearing.

Taisiya Krasnopevtseva performs exceptional versions of Russian folk songs.

And who would be without Boccherini on a Friday night?

I have been listening to Boccherini, but just in case anyone thinks I've sold out to emerald-jumper wearing classicists, here's Fred & Ginger dancing to uptown funk as a kind of weird counter-narrative-

Onwards!
