Default Pulsebeat Poetry Journal

The second issue of Pulsebeat Poetry Journal has just appeared. It has some of my poems in it, workshopped here, but also some names that will be familiar to many here. I would suggest a look at "Unreliable Witness" by Jean L. Kreiling. If you write metrical poetry, you might want to try submitting to this journal.

Also a good venue if you write songs. It's not often I get what is obviously (also) a song published in a poetry journal.

Yes, congratulations, all, and thank you, Susan, for the word Reverdie!

Cheers,
John

To Tiramisu

I went to see the online Zine
(And found goods there by Sue McLean),
And Duncan’s song on turquoise eyes
That showed again how far time flies.
The word on the street has this to say:
Time’s like an arrow. My eyes are brown.
Wherever you are, in whatever town,
I can picture your eyes, like him, each day.

Thanks Susan.

The poem by Jean is interesting to me because it essentially encapsulates in rhyme and meter a whole genre of crime TV series and movies. I like the idea even more than the execution, even though the execution is very good, but just the imagination to think it up.

I mean no disrespect to anyone else's contributions to the zine.

Well done, Susan and Duncan.

I recognise (I think) at least two of your poems, Susan. I like them all, but I particularly like Reverdie. Forgive my presumption, but I think I'd like it even better if it stopped at S2. The result would be practically Emily D, to my ears. Although S3 is very nice too.

I like your song too, Duncan.

Congratulations! And also thank you so much for pointing me to the journal. It's unlikely I'll submit anything but I enjoyed reading and it's in my bookmarks!
