Congratulations, John.
The issue also has work by Amit Majmudar and Rhina Espaillat, as well as a children's poetry section 'curated' by yours truly. I encourage you all to have a look at the children's poems. While I like all of them, I was particularly taken by Christine Pennylegion's "Up the Clock," which has a sort of Wilbur-like children's poem cleverness. I'm not sure, but I think this may be Christine's first published children's poem, so she may be someone to watch.
And let me take this opportunity to encourage you all to try your hand at writing children's poems. You all have the skills, of course, to rhyme with the best of them. You need only avoid sex and pain and depression and keep it lively, and presto!, you have a children's poem.
