Default Ann & Fliss in The HyperTexts

Hi,

I'm delighted to announce that, in the July issue, Ann returns to the Spotlight with 'Shearing Day', previously 'Wool Away!' when workshopped on the 'sphere. Congratulations, Ann :-)

To my astonishment, I appear in the Spotlight too, having been discovered by Mike Burch at my international poetry club on 5th June this year. Thanks to everyone who helped with my poetry in the workshops here. And thanks also to everyone who joined in the fun on the 'Poemusicals' thread in D&A ('Bite too' was one that caught Mike's eye): Ann, Brian, Julie, Martin <(:-)

Best wishes,
Fliss

Fliss,
It's sheer bliss...
(No, it's not the start of a poem )

It's sheer bliss to read your poems, and Annie's, which I've been doing throughout the afternoon, in between jobs around the house.

Many congratulations; there's some amazing stuff there from both of you, that I haven't seen before, and which I know I will read again and again.

Jayne

Well, I was enjoying that little rhyme, Jayne :-)

I'm happy (of course!) to have brought you sheer bliss between house-jobs; that's always good. Yes, Annie's page is amazing; I expect I'll be reading it in between work tasks soon 8-) (looking keen)

Thanks, Jayne!

Congratulations!

That is brilliant news, and I look forward hugely to reading and exploring both your pages in the next few days. Woohoo!

Wow! Thanks, Sarah-Jane :-)

That's such a lovely image; I really hope you enjoy my page. And here's a little something for you (guinea pig Tats on mini-keyboard, wife Bimble listening attentively, lol) <(:-)

Best wishes,
Fliss

Awww. They are gorgeous, and it reminds me of those Victorian images (the ones with the sweet lady playing and the hairy gentleman watching/listening attentively) but in reverse.

Thank you :-)

Yes, a reverse take on that sort of image; and super-hairy on Tats' part as he was partly Peruvian, dear chap. I've written a villanelle describing Tats, his sisters and their mother frolicking on the garden lawn, lol. Perhaps I'll revise it and post it in Freshtival soon <(:-)

Many congratulations to The Hypertexts for publishing you both! But seriously, congratulations - I remember Wool Away!, and I love your barcarolle. We watch the loons on the lake up here in Maine, but it is early yet and listen instead to the dawn chorus.

Regards,
John

Thanks, John :-)

The editor is particularly keen on the barcarolle, as it happens, and also on 'Learning Barn'. Loons are great. 'FT is a loon,' observes Word-Bird, rather rudely. Honestly, Word-Bird :>)

Enjoy Maine!
