You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but both the 1st and 2nd place books sport excellent titles, and there are some intriguing ones among the short-listers, too. A great read will be had by all. Congratulations to everyone mentioned, but especially to Carrie Shippes and Gail White.
Best,
Ed

Exciting! I look forward to discovering Carrie, and adding to my arsenal of Gailbooks.
Hey, Richard! I'd love to have a collection by you, too! Fingers crossed!
[Edited to clarify that my fingers are crossed for luck, so that your MS will be one of the finalists chosen for publication, and not because I'm fibbing.]

Congratulations, Gail! Another must-have book, i'm sure.
And Richard, kudos to you, too--what a year you're having!

Congratulations and compliments to Carrie and Gail. Very well done. And thanks to Alex for conducting the Able Muse poetry prize. I'm pleased to be in the company of the other finalists on the short list.

Thank you all, dear friends -- I am delighted to be released from secrecy, in which I have been weltering for several days. It's a great privilege to be chosen for publication by Able Muse, and I'm thrilled to have achieved my goal of getting another book out by the age of 70 (full disclosure -- that birthday comes on April 1st). You people are all my favorite poets, and my favorite readers as well. Floreat Eratosphere!
