Rose, was it your choice to make a completely fresh start and to "disown" all the posts under your former name?

I ask because the last person who, to my knowledge, re-identified for a similar reason, was Thomas, who became became Marnanel. Their posts, albeit infrequent, remain in situ and were renamed retrospectively. Did you consider doing something similar?

Either way, it's good to see you again.

Personally, I think it's far less confusing to keep things the way Rose has done it (i.e., with a clear distinction between past and current public personae), rather than re-writing the entire history of our interactions.

I say this as someone whose changed Eratosphere pseudonym has made some old discussions a bit baffling now.

Yes, it was my choice. Making a new account had nothing to do with transitioning or with wanting to "disown" my old posts (I don't), really; it was much more practical: my old account is no longer accessible to me. I don't have the password or access to the email attached to the account to reset the password.

For the reasons Rose mentioned, she has permission to start new threads right away.
I saw no reason to be churlish and make her jump through hoops as a "new member" and make 15 new critiques just for the sake of it.

We're all friends, and supporting one another is what we do!
