Wow! Thanks, Michael. It's really great!
I notice the concert took place in San Quentin. Maybe it was a therapy session for men who had turned to crime on account of having a female name.

I've always loved that song. Its brilliant lyrics, by the way, were written by Shel Silverstein.

I seem to recall a parody done on the song, probably late 60's early seventies but, amazingly enough, I can't remember it. Weird lyrics tend to stick in my head...

Jerry,
I'm stumped. A kangaroo, obviously. Like Lassie, a female, played by a male actor? I have no clue.

Skippy the bush kangaroo: an Aussie TV show from the mid-late '60s imported to the US. A kangaroo with a boy (like Lassie and Flipper) that went around getting said boy out fo trouble all the time.
I remember the d***ed theme song:
Skippy! Skippy!
Skippy the bush kangaroo!
Skippy! Skippy!
Skippy the bush kangaroo!
Don't tell me no one else remembers Skippy?! Fame is surely a fickle mistress.

And all those kiddies watching, too *grin*.

Jerry,
Here's the theme song:
SKIPPY
Sorry I missed that one!
P.S. Rumor has it that Lassie played them all (including Gentle Ben)

Alisa Zinov'yevna Rosenbaum redux repartee
And G-d said, Let us make man in our image.
Man, the thinker, the creator worthy of homage,
Leading savages out of a cave into the light of Progress.
She distained artistic failure and worshiped success.

Alisa Zinov'yevna Rosenbaum redux repartee regurgitation
She never was seen as eye candy,
but had this disciple type, and he
lapped up her dull prose
(and what else, no one knows) -
young Alan was prone to be randy.
