Hi Max.

I just can't escape the feeling that 'splat' is a bit cartoonish (even with thunderous) and that the other alternatives (smash/mash etc) involve breaking into peices which conflicts with 'folded neatly'. I've tweaked it to 'crush' and I'll see how that plays.
