Default CALAMARO, a new journal

The first issue of Calamaro, a new journal edited by Lane Young and Anthony Harrington, has just arrived in the mail. Sphereans in this issue include Melissa Balmain, Ed Shacklee, Janice Soderling, & me. For information on submissions/subscriptions, see the website--

Thanks, Gail for posting. Also X.J. Kennedy is included in issue one and this poetic master is a member here. So I am busting me buttons to be in such distinguished company as you, Ed, Melissa and him.

My copy hasn't yet arrived, because it is a long swim to Sweden, but I'm looking forward to it.

Best of luck to editors Anthony Harrington and Lane Young (alias) with this new adventure.

Duotrope lists the journal as being temporarily closed to submissions, though the web site doesn't say so. Does anyone know whether it is?

Susan, I should think that a brand-new journal would not be closed to submissions, but you can check with Anthony Harrington at
tony_harrington@bellsouth.net & let us know.

Thanks, Gail. I contacted Tony and he said that the journal is open to submissions. He was unaware of Duotrope, so I let him know that he should contact them to correct the information.
