Robt has generously allowed me to use his dandelion image for another photo manipulation challenge. He has also offered a print as a prize. When the photo challenge is complete, there will be a poetry challenge based on the winning image and Robt has offered yet another print as a prize for that. Thanks Robt, you rock.
Here's the challenge image:
 - As usual, anything goes as long as there is some recognizable part of the original in your entry.
- The photo challenge will run through midnight June 30th, Erato time.
- Voting will end on July 15th at midnight Erato time.
- After the voting is complete, I will start a new thread for the poetry challenge.
Go for it and have fun, folks.

high art (passmore) meets high camp (montour).
Sharon, very skillfully done. Leila, screamingly hysterical image.
Everyone, I believe the rules allow multiple entries. Feed off one-another. The prize is NOT gonna go to the most-skilled-photoshopper; it will go to the best combination of of technnique and vision. If I have anything to say about it, anyway. And I think I do. Cuz it's me that's donating the prize.
So if you have a vision, slap it together as best you can. I'm sure you can find a 'shopper here to give you a hand tweaking it, if you're a photoshop neophyte, once you get it up here on the thread where we can dwonload it to our own machines.

Robt, for me your original image at the top takes forever to appear. (Dial-up connection.) Wouldn’t a .png be a lot smaller than a .bmp file? — Henry

Henry,
It's a jpg. There's a reason it's big: people need to download it to work with, so we gave them a higher-res version than normal. Takes a while to download, for sure.
If I had posted the original, would take half an hour: the actual bmp image is over 12 MEGAbytes in size. This jpg is 1.3 megs. Very large for the board, agreed, but necessary for the contest. Lot of detail in it. Sorry.

Henry, Robt, let me see what I can do about this.
A few minutes later:
Robt, this is 72 dpi.
I hope you're going to do one too, Robt, just for fun anyway.

Sharon, yer right. 138+ kb. I read an extra digit in when I checked. Still, 138 kb is a hunk for a dialup download.
