Last weekend I went to the awards party for the Washington Post Style Invitational. It took place in the basement of a bar in DC. As Loser of the Year and Rookie of the Year, I was the subject of a tribute song parody that I happened to videotape. I wouldn't post the YouTube link here except for the fact that the lyrics were written by Mae Scanlan, whom many of you know. She can also be glimpsed at the keyboard. The singer in the middle is the Empress, Pat Myers, the editor and judge of the Invitational.
