Popcorn Poetry Contest
Win some popcorn. A small poetry contest that is unlikely to draw more than a few dozen entries, if that, so I figure someone here stands a good chance of winning:

popcorn poetry contest
Thanks, Roger. As someone who'd rather eat popcorn than chocolate,
I'll try to come up with something for this.

Great prizes, too!
And the entry fee can't be beat.
Although I myself could wax more poetical on chocolate.

"We prefer simple, fun, rhyming poetry" should be the rule of every poetry contest.

Don't forget, they want children's poetry. It's being judged by the people Stories for Children. You should look at their online issues to see the kind of poems they have published. I won't characterize it, but let you draw your own conclusions.

OK, Bob, so I won't enter my poem about Popcorn and Momcorn begetting all those little corn kernels.

No, Marion, a popcorn/momcorn poem might actually be cute for children. Better hurry up and write it before "someone" steals the idea.

Well, there goes the chance for my entry, which was more about "popcorn and the single girl"

I won second place, under my real name. Roger Slater and Julie Stoner received honorable mentions. So congratulations to us.
