Several Able Muse authors, Eratosphere members, and other formalists haunt this special "mini-issue" of
New Verse Review, which went live this morning.

Find here the work of Ernest Hilbert, Jared Carter, Sally Thomas, Juleigh Howard-Hobson, Alex Rettie, Amit Majmudar, Jane Satterfield, Daniel Cowper, Ned Balbo, and others.
There are 25 poems by 25 poets, including my own quatrain, "Nursery Rhyme for Lazy Children," which comes from the ancient Cherokee fairy tales about the Water Cannibals -- creatures of horror which my ancestors told as a means of instilling the work ethic into us, and encouraging industriousness.
While I am here, let me say, don't change that dial. Stay tuned for the Summer 2025, which will include my long poem, "The Legend of Leech Place," another traditional Cherokee tale of mine, told in faithful ballad form.
Happy Halloween, everyone! And happy reading.
