I've put together a page on my website with portraits of poets I've been painting in recent years. It's an ongoing series.

I can't wait to be able to see your new website. I'm only getting a rectangular outline with a small icon (indicating it's an image) on the top left. I hope it will open when I switch to a newer laptop.

Good looking bunch! I like the way there’s a ( ) parenthetic force around each of them that seems to be drawing out the substance of their characters. I’m wondering, are these from sittings, general memories, photographs, their poetry, other knowledge of them?

Hi Ralph. These are all done from sittings, usually in my studio, sometimes in the subject's home. In a few cases, the picture made during the sitting is a pencil sketch from which I make the painting.
