I enjoyed the poem - the metaphor and the way you're using contemporary cursing to drive home (bad pun) the idea of different types of speech for each age.

Thank you, Sarah-Jane. Pushkin did use the f-word in this poem—knowing full well that it would have to be edited out for publication—but I suppose “get f-ing going” would indeed have sounded strange to Lord Byron.
