International Women's Day, and I am wondering why, out of the sonnets I've received so far for the sonnet bake-off, only 16% are from women . . .

It is a conspiracy by the monstrous regiment of men! I, personally, have taken hostage a dozen well-known female sonneteers to prevent them from submitting. Are there no depths to which we men will not stoop???
Seriously, I think it more likely that the men have hair-trigger trouble, while the women are being more thoughtful about it. Expect a late flourish, I say.
